Topic: Human Trafficking and Commericially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC)

Description: Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery and a fundamental violation of a person’s human rights. Given the trafficking trends throughout the world, we know that the East Bay region, and more specifically Contra Costa County, is not immune to the plight of trafficked and exploited persons. The average age of entry into human sex trafficking is 12 - some of our students may already be targeted by exploiters.

This training will focus on the following areas:

  1. Identification
  2. Indicator Signs
  3. Trauma Informed Interventions

Facilitators:

Lucia Ray-Guillen, Anti-Human Trafficking Program Manager, Community Violence Solutions

and

Alex Madsen, Human Trafficking Project Coordinator, Contra Costa County Zero Tolerance for Human Trafficking Coalition
